Hi all.  My name is Léo Boiteau and I am a stained glass artist.  I started working with stained glass in 1994.  I came upon it by chance actually.  I wanted to start making things with my hands but wasn’t sure how to go about finding my way. 

I thought maybe I could try my hand at carpentry.  Woodworking was something I did in Shop Class in school.  However, I didn’t really want to fill the garage with saws and sanders and drill presses. 

A friend had been working in stained glass and took me under his wing for a short while.  He showed me a few things and helped me make a small suncatcher. 

I was hooked on the beauty of working with glass.  I quickly ran to the nearest stained glass retailer and purchased all of the basic tools I would need to get me started.  After that I took some classes from an incredible group of teachers and the rest, as they say, is history.
